It’s All Natural

First things first, hemp oil is an all natural product taken as an extract from the leaves and stalks of the hemp plant.

Hemp is indeed the brother of the female marijuana plant (together making the cannabis family) which is why it has historically gotten something of a bad rap.

However, the fact remains that hemp oil as a supplement is prized for the fact that is natural, and, as of yet, not associated with any major side effects. That said, there are a few minor consequences associated with hemp oil.

When people talk about hemp oil, they are often referring to CBD (cannabidiol) a specific chemical compound found in hemp oil that is responsible for many of its most prized benefits.

It’s Extremely Versatile

Hemp oil is also prized for its extreme versatility. People use it as a beauty product to moisturize their skin. Or as a pain relief product that reduces inflammation.
It has also been proven to have relaxing properties that make it great both as a means for treating insomnia, and anxiety/depression at large.

Perhaps it’s most promising applications lie in disease treatment. CBD recently made major headlines as a potential means of treating epileptic seizures in children.

We ultimately don’t yet know all of the uses of hemp oil, but each new development brings exciting information.

It’s Legal

Thanks to the 2019 Farm Bill, you can take hemp oil on the up and up now. The product is completely legal to make and distribute in all fifty states (though there are some rigorous requirements that the products need to meet to be considered acceptable).

Previously, hemp related products have been subject to the states to determine their legal status. Now, farmers and consumers all across the country have broad allowances regarding this hyper versatile plant.

It’s Not Psychoactive

Last, but not least, hemp is non psychoactive. Unlike marijuana, hemp contains little to no THC, which is the chemical that gives marijuana it’s recreational properties.

Because hemp and its byproducts do not create a disorienting effect, they can safely be used in just about any every day situation. You can take hemp oil products as part of your morning supplement routine, then head off to work if you want to.

Because hemp oil extract is non-psychoactive, users can enjoy all of the benefits associated with a product like medical marijuana, without any of the controversy. It’s a win, win.
